LITCHFIELD - Two people, a 27-year-old man from Cosmos and a 35-year-old woman from Pennock, were arrested on charges of possession of stolen property and controlled substances after law enforcement officers served search warrants on Wednesday in Litchfield.
According to the Litchfield Police Department, multiple search warrants were served on 115 North Marshall Ave. by officers from the Kandiyohi and Wright county sheriff’s departments, Paynesville and Belgrade police departments and the CEE-VI Drug Task Force.
The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation for information on stolen property being sold on an online auction company.
Both suspects are in the Meeker County Jail pending formal charges.
Stolen items from across the region, including the Willmar, Paynesville, Belgrade, Maple Lake, Redwood Falls and Litchfield areas, was recovered, along with an undetermined amount of synthetic marijuana and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia and packaging supplies.

The investigation is ongoing and the public is encouraged to report any recent thefts to their local law enforcement agencies. Multiple items were seized at the scene, which were not immediately identified.
