Two-day Prep Bowl approved for 2007

The Prep Bowl will be split into two days from the current one for the 2007 football tournament, the Minnesota State High School League board voted Thursday.

The Prep Bowl will be split into two days from the current one for the 2007 football tournament, the Minnesota State High School League board voted Thursday.

The board unanimously approved the change and, shortly afterward, approved a reshuffling of this year's state tournament games.

Instead of the Class 4A and 5A championships being played back-to-back, the Class 2A and 4A games will be switched for better crowd control.

The order for both the Prep Bowl on Nov. 24 and the semifinals Nov. 16-17 at the Metrodome will be: Nine Man, Class 1A, 4A, 3A, 2A and 5A.
