MADISON -- Two people from Madison died Sunday morning when their vehicle left the road and crashed.
The fatal crash was reported shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday on Highway 75, one mile north of Madison.
The Minnesota State Patrol identified the victims as Jacob C. Hancock, 25, and Carey J. Bissett, 26. Hancock was driving and Bissett was his passenger.
The State Patrol said the car, a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, was soundbound on Highway 75 when it apparently went straight off a curve, hit a gravel road and vaulted, landing on its roof. Road conditions were wet at the time.
Along with the State Patrol, the Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's Office and Madison Police Department responded to the scene.
