Two drivers injured in Saturday morning crash near DeGraff

Brain Skudlarek, 41, of Willmar, and Randall Schmidt, 55, of Alexandria, were both transported to Carris Health - Rice Memorial in Willmar where they were treated and released.

DEGRAFF — Two drivers were injured following a crash around 10:46 a.m. Saturday in Dublin Township, according to Swift County Sheriff John Holtz.

According to Holtz, a FedEx van driven by Brain Skudlarek, 41, of Willmar, failed to yield at a yield sign as he was traveling west on 70th Street Southeast and was struck by a GMC Yukon driven by Randall Schmidt, 55, of Alexandria, who was traveling south on County Road 31 south of DeGraff.

Both drivers were transported to Carris Health - Rice Memorial in Willmar for treatment and released.

Skudlarek was cited for failure to yield and the crash is under investigation.

The Murdock Fire Department, Murdock First Responders, Kerkhoven Fire and Rescue, Kerkhoven Ambulance, Benson Police Department and the Swift County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident.
