Two found dead at rural Madison residence

MADISON - Two people were found dead Wednesday morning at a rural Madison Township residence.
The Lac qui Parle County Sheriff’s Office said it found the two dead adults during a welfare check at the residence around 8 a.m Wednesday.
The bodies were transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Officer for further investigation, according to a news release from the Lac qui Parle County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement does not believe the situation poses a risk to the general public, and the incident is believed to be isolated.
The Lac qui Parle County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continue to investigate the deaths. The names of the victims have not been released pending investigation and notification of relatives.
