OSAKIS -- Two Sauk Centre women were injured in a car accident near Osakis that involved two residents of Atwater.
Deborah M. Gill, 18, and Catherine M. Gill, 50, were transported to Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria with non-life threatening injuries after a car accident at the intersection of Highway 127 and an Interstate Highway 94 exit ramp near Osakis.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, the Gills were riding south on Highway 127 in a 1990 Dodge Caravan around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday when a 2006 Grand Prix heading west on the I-94 exit ramp failed to stop at the intersection, turned northbound onto Highway 127 and crashed into the Caravan.
Driver Jamie A. Tanner, 21, and passenger Michael C. Malvin, 22, both of Atwater, were in the Grand Prix and sustained no injuries.
The Osakis Police Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene of the accident.
