DANUBE - Two people were injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident at a rural intersection in Renville County.
Gary Wertish, 59, of Renville was traveling northbound on 300th Street while Paige Molacek, 18, of Pennock was traveling eastbound on 760th Avenue. The vehicles collided at the uncontrolled intersection, causing Molacek's vehicle to roll, according to a news release from the Renville County Sheriff's Department.
The accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. seven miles south of Danube.
Both drivers were transported to the Renville County Hospital in Olivia for treatment of injuries. The Sheriff's Department said the extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
Also responding to the scene were the Minnesota State Patrol, Danube Police Department, Olivia Police Department, Olivia Ambulance Service, Olivia Fire & Rescue and Danube First Responders.
