WOOD LAKE -- Two Yellow Medicine County motorists were transported Wednesday to Granite Falls Hospital after their involvement in a sideswipe car accident near Wood Lake.
Gordon E. Erickson, 78, of Granite Falls and Olivia C. Jeseritz, 16, of Wood Lake were treated and released after colliding at about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday on state Highway 274.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, Erickson was driving a 2000 Dodge Caravan southbound on state Highway 274 and Jeseritz was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound when the two vehicles collided in the southbound lane. Both drivers were treated and released with minor injuries, but both vehicles sustained severe damage.
The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office assisted the State Patrol with the accident.
