DANUBE -- A 47-year-old Renville man was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center after a Wednesday afternoon accident about six miles south of Danube.
Wayland Lowell Zaske, 47, of rural Renville, was driving a 2004 Chevy Silverado that collided with another 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Jeffrey Wallace Nelson, 19, of rural Redwood Falls. The crash happened about 1:50 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 1 and 770th Avenue.
Zaske was first transported by ambulance to the Redwood Area Hospital. Nelson was treated and released at Renville County Hospital. The crash is under investigation by the Renville County Sheriff's Department.
