PENNOCK - Two people were killed after a two-vehicle crash late Sunday north of Pennock.
The driver of one vehicle was dead at the scene at the intersection of Kandiyohi County Road 1 and County Road 27, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar where they later died.
The driver of the second vehicle also was transported to Rice Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The crash occurred at 9:09 p.m. about four miles north of Pennock in Mamre Township.
Names have not yet been released, and no other details about the crash were immediately available.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, Pennock First Responders and Pennock Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue and Willmar Ambulance.
