GRANITE FALLS -- Two people were injured when their vehicle struck several cows that were on a roadway in western Yellow Medicine County.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:09 p.m. on Monday north of Burr, the Yellow Medicine Sheriff's department reported. The vehicle struck the cows and rolled over.
Two people were transported to the Sanford Hospital, Canby Campus with injuries. The vehicle was a total loss and three animals were destroyed.
The Sanford Health Care Canby Ambulance and the Canby Fire & Rescue assisted at the scene. The accident is currently under investigation
