NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Reuters) - The U.S. Navy said on Thursday two National Guard soldiers were injured in a shooting at one of its facilities in Millington, Tennessee, and a suspect was apprehended.
The shooting occurred at a Navy property which is leased to the National Guard and manages personnel records, said Patrick Foughty, a spokesman for Navy Installations Command.
The soldiers' injuries were not life-threatening, the Navy said.
The facility, which is 17 miles north of Memphis, Tennessee, was temporarily put on lockdown but that was later lifted.
"The suspect is in custody and the shooting is under investigation," said another Navy official, who asked not to be identified.

The incident happened just over a month after a contract worker opened fire at the Washington Navy Yard on September 16, killing 12 people before being shot dead by police.
