Updated 1 p.m. with second crash death
SAUK CENTRE, Minn. -- A 70-year-old man was killed Monday evening in an ultra-light plane crash at the Lynx National Golf Course in Sauk Centre Township.
Stearns County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Tuesday that a 70-year-old Osakis man was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured in the crash.
When responders arrived, they discovered that an ultra-light "Aerolite 103" single seat propeller-driven aircraft had crashed on the golf course, resulting in the death of its sole occupant and operator.
The deceased's name has yet to be released while Sheriff's Office deputies attempt to locate and notify the family.

The ultra-light aircraft had taken off from the Sauk Centre Airport. According to eye wit-nesses, the aircraft was flying at a low altitude in a southeast direction as it approached the golf course when it crashed.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation as deputies' work with members of the Federal Aviation Administration to determine what happened.
Less than a half hour earlier, another man died when his ultralight plane crashed into a field near Pequot Lakes.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office says 55-year-old Daniel Steven Chisholm, of Ideal Township, was dead at the scene.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
