MANKATO -- At least one United Praise Bank customer has received a fraudulent e-mail designed to con the customer out of personal bank account information, UPB's network administrator says.

United Prairie Bank is asking all customers be on guard for e-mails that seem to come from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

The FDIC has received numerous reports of a fraudulent e-mail being sent out as an official FDIC notice. On Monday, a United Prairie Bank customer received one of the fraudulent e-mails.

Anyone who receives this e-mail should not respond to it and report it to their local United Prairie Bank location.
