WILLMAR -- Stacey Roberts, executive director of the United Way of Kandiyohi County, has been elected president of the board of United Ways of Minnesota.
United Ways of Minnesota helps local United Way organizations maximize their capacity and effectiveness. It also helps foster leadership among United Way directors in Minnesota and provides a regional forum for networking and brainstorming.
United Ways of Minnesota provides leadership on statewide issues of significance as well.
Roberts has been executive director of the United Way of Kandiyohi County since 2001. She has an extensive background in volunteering, mentoring and community involvement.
Under her leadership, the United Way of Kandiyohi County raised more than $610,000 this past year. The money is distributed among nearly 50 local agencies and programs.
