LITTLE FALLS -- A central Minnesota man was found guilty today of murdering two teenagers in his home on Thanksgiving Day 2012.
After deliberating for three hours and 20 minutes, jurors in Morrison County found Byron Smith, 65, of rural Little Falls, guilty on all four charges he faced: two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder.
Smith has never denied killing Haile Kifer, 18, and her cousin Nick Brady, 17, but said he feared for his life after they entered his home without permission.
