SARTELL – A woman and her unborn child were killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning near Sartell when a semi driver failed to stop at a stop sign.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s office identified the victim as Casey Rose Myers, 30, of Holdingford.

The accident was reported at 7:48 a.m. at the intersection of Stearns County Road 4 and 133 in LeSauk Township.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Corey William Planck, 46, of Star City, Indiana, was driving a 2000 Kenworth semi northeast on County Road 133 when he failed to stop at a four-way stop sign and collided with a 2017 Subaru Forester, driven by a 30-year-old woman who was going southeast on County Rd. 4.

A news release from the Sheriff’s Office said Myers stopped at the stop sign for traffic and began to proceed through the intersection. Planck failed to stop at the intersection, which has a four-way stop design, and struck the Forester on the passenger side.
