Update: U.S. Highway 71 has re-opened north of Olivia

Update 3:30 p.m.: U.S. Highway 71 has re-opened north of Olivia

The crash on U.S. Highway 71 North near the intersection of Renville County Road 11, north of Olivia, has been cleared and the road is now open.

1 p.m. posting: U.S. Highway 71 closed due to crash north of Olivia

U.S. Highway 71 N is closed north of Olivia due to a crash located just south of Renville County Road 11.

Minnesota Department of Transportation personnel are detouring motorists on gravel roads around the crash site.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
