LITCHFIELD -- A 48-year-old Watkins man is in critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center after he was injured in a motorcycle accident around 4 p.m. Monday northwest of Litchfield.
According to information from the Meeker County Sheriff's office and the Minnesota State Patrol, Jesse Deheer was driving a 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle and struck from behind a 1998 Mazda driven by Jordan Oslund, 19, of Litchfield. Oslund was westbound on State Highway 24 and was making a left turn onto County Road 42. Deheer was also westbound on Highway 24.
Deheer was first taken by ambulance to Meeker Memorial Hospital and then sent on to Hennepin County Medical Center. He was not wearing a helmet. Oslund was not injured.
The crash is under investigation by the State Patrol.
Also responding were the Litchfield police, fire and rescue departments and Gold Cross Ambulance.
