ATWATER -- A 17-year-old boy from Atwater was injured Wednesday in an apparent rollover crash, authorities say.
Brendan E. Hedtke was treated for minor injuries by the Atwater Ambulance Service and released to his parents at the scene, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
Around 4 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to the intersection of 180th Street and 38th Avenue Northeast in Atwater. Dispatch had received a call reporting an overturned vehicle.
The teen was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.
Hedtke had been traveling along a curve on 180th Street, a dirt road, at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the Silverado. His vehicle left the roadway into the right side of the road and rolled once.

He had been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The vehicle was severely damaged.
The Atwater Police Department and Ambulance Service assisted the sheriff's office on the scene.
