LITCHFIELD -- A 1996 Buick Century crossed the center line of U.S. Highway 12 and crashed into another vehicle, sending two people to the hospital Sunday morning.
Charles T. Adams, 63, of Grove City, and Riley D. Kalkbrenner, 19, of Litchfield, were left with non-life threatening injuries. Adams was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis; Kalkbrenner was transported to Meeker Hospital in Litchfield.
The State Patrol says Adams was the driver of the Buick, traveling west on the highway just north of Litchfield. Around 7:20 a.m., he crashed head on into an eastbound 2011 Ford Fusion, driven by Kalkbrenner.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the Patrol. The Buick and Ford were both totaled from the crash.
