KANDIYOHI COUNTY - Kandiyohi County Sheriff Dan Hartogg has stated Thursday that Kandiyohi County was notified Wednesday that an individual was picked up by McLeod County Law Enforcement around 1 p.m. Wednesday in McLeod County after allegedly shooting up cars and buildings with a long gun, which could have been a higher caliber, according to the incident report. Hartogg said the individual was located at a residence in McLeod County.
A Keeping Our Police Safe alert was sent to alert area law enforcement about a potentially dangerous situation, though it was canceled a few minutes later when the suspect was found.

Vehicle damage
WILLMAR - There were multiple reports of vehicles damaged and broken into Tuesday at Ridgewater College on 15th Avenue Northwest in Willmar. Vehicles had their windows broken out by some kind of object and at least a couple of the vehicles reportedly had items stolen from them. The Willmar Police Department is still investigating the incidents.
