WILLMAR -- The Willmar Municipal Utilities restored power at 3 p.m. today to all 1,250 customers in the northwest corner of Willmar who were in the dark for about an hour following a power failure.
Utilities Operations Director John Harren said staff was investigating the cause of the 2 p.m. failure in feeder No. 3, which originates at the downtown power plant and serves the northwest part of the city.
Harren said staff had not located the fault.
“But we do have everybody back on,’’ he said this afternoon. “The first and primary goal is to get everybody back on, and then we start looking for the cause.’’
