GLENWOOD -- Viola Eleanor "Violet" Olson, 86, of Glenwood died Tuesday at Lakeview Good Samaritan Center in Glenwood.
The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 13 at Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

She was born Sept. 17, 1920, in rural Kensington to Theodore and Alma (Hogdin) Ringdahl. She grew up on a farm south of Oscar Lake and graduated from Oscar Lake School District 29.
She married Jerry Kroupa in 1941. They lived in the Alexandria area and briefly in Brownsville, Texas.
She married Alvin F. Olson. They lived in Sedan and moved to Glenwood in 1962. She worked as a housekeeper, gravel truck driver, egg candler, and was a waitress at the Glenwood American Legion and Torgy's in Glenwood for 35 years.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Glenwood Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Diane Flugge of St. Anthony, Marilyn (and Peter) Gremmels of Glenwood; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister: Dorothy (and James Russell) of Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
