BOYD -- Valborg Josephine Gustavson, 100, of Foley, formerly of Boyd, died Sunday at the Foley Nursing Center.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Boyd.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 1, 1905, in rural Clarkfield to John and Augusta (Peterson) Noren. She grew up on the family farm east of Boyd. She attended Country School District 90.

She married Oscar Gustavson on June 23, 1929. They lived and farmed on the family farm. They retired from farming in 1951 and moved to Montevideo. They moved to a farm northwest of Boyd in 1958. They built a new home northwest of Clarkfield in 1963. Oscar died in 1985. She moved into Boyd in 1990, and then moved to the Foley Nursing Center in 1999.
She was a member of the Clarkfield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children: Muriel (and Norman) Andrews of Fillmore, Calif., Walter Gustavson of Becker, Floyd (and Muriel) Gustavson of Ramsey; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
