The Willmar Police Department debunked a rumor floating around Facebook Friday night.
According to a post on its Facebook page, a photo of a vehicle dubbed as dangerous circulating on Facebook is not a cause for concern.
“We have not had any complaints directly with that vehicle so everything on Facebook is unsubstantiated at this point,” said Willmar Police Officer Josh Helegon.
The vehicle and its owners are from Willmar and are known to police, according to the post. The occupants are not suspects in any of the activities described in the post, nor has any police report involving the van, its occupants or activities described been made.
The department went on to say that there is no cause for alarm and encourage residents to be vigilant, aware of their surroundings and to use good judgment.
