WILLMAR -- Two cases of damaged washing machines were reported Tuesday from two neighboring apartment complexes in Willmar.
Willmar Police received two calls regarding damaged washing machines within 20 minutes from apartment complexes located on the 1500 block of Becker Avenue Southeast and the 400 block of Lakeland Drive Southeast.
According to the incident report, the caretaker of the first address reported that eight washing machines were damaged and up to $500 to $800 in quarters were stolen from them. The washers alone were valued at $250 each. The call from the second address reported that it too had one washer damaged and the change stolen from it.
It was not specified by the incident reports that these were connected incidents.
