Vehicle fire in Clear Lake County Park Tuesday a total loss, no injuries reported

The cause of the fire Tuesday is unknown but appears to start in the engine compartment, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.

FOREST PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP — Emergency services respond to a vehicle fire Tuesday at Clear Lake County Park on Meeker County Highway 2, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, no injuries were reported but the vehicle, owned by Paul Hanan, 44, of Kimball, was a total loss.

The cause of the fire is unknown but appears to start in the engine compartment, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Watkins Fire Department also responded to the incident, reported 6:10 p.m.
