GROVE CITY -- Verlinda M. Flemming, 83, of Grove City died Wednesday at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Burial will be at Arndahl Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Hector to August and Leola (Peysar) Villnow. She graduated from Grove City High School. She moved to Seattle and worked building planes during World War II. After the war she worked for Sears in Minneapolis.

She married Clarence Flemming on Oct. 15, 1946, in rural Princeton. They farmed south of Grove City. She moved to South Grove Square in Grove City as one of its first tenants after her husband's death.

She volunteered at the nursing home and hospital. She was a member of the Meeker County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Birthday Club, Trinity Visitors and Ladies Aid. She was a member of Arndahl and Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her children; Larry (and Jan) Flemming of Minneapolis, Doug (and Debby) Flemming of Apple Valley, Leslie (and Mary Jo) Flemming of Eveleth, Gayle (and Virginia) Flemming of Grove City, Clarence Flemming of Wykoff, Gordon (and Terry) Flemming of Wolverton and Craig (and Margaret) Flemming of Bird Island; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Verda Brown of Waite Park and Harold (and Alice) Villnow of Milaca.

She is preceded in death by her husband.
