MONTEVIDEO -- Verlyn C. Anspach, 66, of Montevideo died Thursday at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Montevideo.
He was born March 1, 1943, to Clifford and Anna Anspach. He attended Montevideo Public Schools.
He married Nancy Day on Dec. 26, 1964. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the 49er Operators. For more than 20 years, he worked for Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative as a piler operator.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter: Shannon (and DeWayne) Kurtenbach of Boyd; a son: Scott (and Shelly) Anspach of Montevideo; two sisters: Veronica (and Ronald) Denius and Vernice (and Gerry) Takumi; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
