Melissa Viaene of Willmar and Daniel Nelson of Spicer are engaged to be married May 22 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar.
Viaene is the daughter of Ken and Patricia Viaene of Willmar.
She is a 2004 graduate of Willmar Senior High School. She is a 2008 graduate of the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph with a degree in Spanish and is pursuing a degree in the college's nutrition and dietetics program.
Nelson is the son of Scott and Lisa Nelson of Spicer.
He is a 2004 graduate of Willmar Senior High School and a 2008 graduate of St. John's University in Collegeville with a degree in psychology. He is pursuing his master's degree in counseling psychology and is employed by Gold's Gym in St. Cloud as a personal trainer.
