CARLOS -- Vicki Lynn Meine Amiot, 50, died Friday at the Carlos Group Home in Carlos, after a lengthy battle with Huntington's Chorea.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Red Lake Falls.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston. Arrangements are by the Johnson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.

She was born Nov. 6, 1957, in Crookston to Elsward and Carol (Mercy) Meine. She graduated in 1976 from Crookston High School and graduated in 1978 from the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

She married Eddie Amiot on May 28, 1977. They lived in Crookston. In 1986, they moved to St. Cloud where she worked at St. Cloud State University. In 1990, they moved to Silver Bay, where she worked for the Minnesota Veteran's Home for a short time. Then she worked at Temperance River State Park. She also performed professionally as a singer and guitarist at night clubs and private parties until 1992. In 1993, she transferred to Blue Mound State Park near Laverne where she worked with the buffalo herd. In 1996, they moved to New London and she transferred to Sibley State Park where she worked as an evening ranger. In 1999, she became completely disabled and they moved to Walker.

She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston where she worked with the children's choir. She was also a Cub Scout den mother and Cub Scout master in Clear Lake, with troop 94.

She is survived by her husband; sons: Chris (and Heidi) Amiot of Wyoming, Minn., Jason (and Casey) Amiot of Spicer, and Travis Amiot of St. Cloud; and siblings: David, Laura, Susan and Henry.
