NEW LONDON -- A 72-year-old Ortonville woman has been identified as the victim of Friday's fatal crash in New London.
Judith E. Wachter reportedly died at the scene of the collision reported around 2:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and Minnesota Highway 9, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Wachter was reportedly traveling eastbound on Highway 9 in a 2002 Saturn when her vehicle entered the westbound lanes of Highway 23 and was broadsided by a Volvo truck and semitrailer traveling in the westbound lanes.
The driver of the semi, David A. Bauer, 55, of Clara City, was reportedly not injured.
Both drivers reportedly were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor of the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Wachter's vehicle, which came to rest in the median of Highway 23, was totaled. The truck and semitrailer also went completely off the road and came to rest in the westbound ditch of Highway 23.
