WILLMAR – Fellow officers, friends and family welcomed Officer Sam Schaefbauer to the Willmar Police Department during a ceremony Thursday at the Law Enforcement Center in Willmar.
Schaefbauer has worked for the past two years as a Community Service Officer for the department. He was recently promoted to patrol officer and has spent the past few months in field training, Police Chief Jim Felt said.
After he received his badge, Schaefbauer thanked the police department.
“The staff here and support is unbelievable, so thank you for all that,” Schaefbauer said.
