MORRIS -- Vila Mae Schmidgall, 77, of Morris died Tuesday at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Apostolic Christian Church, rural Morris. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
Memorials are preferred to the Minnesota State Alzheimer's Association.

She was born May 17, 1929, in Hancock to William and Lillian (Eisenman) Zeltwanger. She grew up on the family farm. She graduated from Hancock High School in 1947. Then she lived in Morris with her sister Ila and worked at Home Builders Company as a bookkeeper.
On May 6, 1951, she married Floyd Schmidgall near Morris. They lived in Hancock. In 1957, they moved to Morris. In 1962, they bought Johnson Drug Company, now known as City Center Drug, and worked together in the business. They sold City Center Drug in January 2005 and continued to live in Morris. They were members of the Apostolic Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband; seven children: Pam (and Randy) Sutter of Morris, Dan (and Jacki) Schmidgall of Morris, Tom (and Ruth) Schmidgall of Morris, Kayla (and Dan) Hoerr of Peoria, Ill., Jodi (and Keith) Schieler of Morris, John (and Becky) Schmidgall of Morris and Jennifer Schmidgall of Upland, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ann (and Harold) Meiss of Washington, Ill., and Ila (and Harold) Gramm of Hancock; three brothers: John (and Mabel) Zeltwanger of Hancock, William Zeltwanger of Roundtop, Texas, and Lyle (and Marilyn) Zeltwanger of Valparaiso, Ind.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, two sisters and three brothers.
