EDEN VALLEY-- Virgil Henry Christoffer, 71, of rural Eden Valley died Saturday at home.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eden Valley.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield with a 6 p.m. prayer Service, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
He was born Feb. 23, 1935 to Henry and Viola (Kahmeyer) Christoffer on the family farm in rural Eden Valley. He attended country school at School District 1082. On May 18, 1957, he married Mary Nohner. He lived on the family farm his entire life. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eden Valley.

He is survived by his wife; children: Yvonne (and Gary) Lang of Eden Valley, Vernon (and Carla) Christoffer of Litchfield, Debra (and Steve) Lent of Richmond and Randall (and Lori) Christoffer of St. Cloud; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother: Rodney (and Sharon) Christoffer of Brainerd.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
