OLIVIA -- Vivian Fahler, 96, of Olivia died Tuesday at the Olivia Healthcare Center.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Faith United Methodist Church in Olivia. Burial will be at the Olivia Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service in Olivia.
She was born Feb. 13, 1909, in Olivia to John and Emma (Kohn) Lepeska. She graduated from Olivia High School and worked as an operator at Tri-State Telephone Company. She was chief operator when it became Northwestern Bell.

She married Elmer Fahler. She returned to work at the telephone company in 1952 and was a service representative in the business office. She retired in 1970, after 37 years of service. She worked as a resident manager at Westcourt Apartments.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and held the offices of financial secretary and treasurer for the U.M.W. and the Sunday school. She sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school. She was also a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Renville County Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by two nephews: James Dols of Blue Earth and Tom Dols of Olympia, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1959; son: Richard; stepson: Charles; one brother and one sister.
