OLIVIA -- Fueled by 10 kills from senior middle hitter Leah Miller, BOLD swept Sleepy Eye 25-9, 25-11, 25-11 in the season opener for both teams Monday.
The Warriors got into a rhythm early as Miller and senior outside hitter Laura Wallenta guided the offense against a young Sleepy Eye squad that features eight underclassmen.
Wallenta finished with six kills, as did senior outside hitter Bre Keltgen, for the Warriors. Keltgen and juniors Carrie Hebrink and Brea Balderston all had two ace serves.
Hebrink directed the offense by collecting 21 assists.
