PRINSBURG -- Montevideo rallied from seven points down to beat the Central Minnesota Christian Bluejays 14-25, 25-12, 25-19, 19-25 and 15-13 on Thursday night.
The Bluejays (1-1) took a 10-3 lead in the tiebreaker. Monte rallied, aided by several Bluejays' service errors.
Brooke Tastad had a big game at the net for the Thunder Hawks' putting down 16 kills. Kelly Amborn delivered six ace serves while Beka Schwendemann chipped in with eight kills and five ace blocks. Whitney Johnson guarded the back line to finish with 18 digs.
Heather Blom ran the CMCS offense (26 assists) and also served for five aces. Briana Wubben scored 11 ace hits and Lacey Tebben had six blocks go for aces.

The Section 6AA rivals battled through four games before the Crusaders pulled it out 25-23, 25-16, 26-28 and 25-21.
Megan Lambertson with 17 kills and Jamie Wollin with 11 more led the Dragons' offense. Courtney Euerle defended the net with eight ace blocks.
