OLIVIA -- Renville County West rebounded from a 2-1 deficit to beat BOLD 26-24, 23-25, 15-25, 25-20, 15-13 in the volleyball season-opener for both teams Tuesday.
The Jaguars' balanced attack and aggressive serving led the way. Sam Tremel pounded down nine kills and Haley Abbas had eight for RCW, with Megan Erickson and Amanda Schutz getting six each.
From the service line, the Jaguars recorded 15 aces, led by Erickson with nine and Tremel with four. Tremel also had 17 assists. Erickson and Abby Schmidtman had 11 digs each.
Sarah Howley led the Warriors (0-1) with four kills and 14 assists. Courtney Ervin served five aces and Kali Schmoll had 17 digs.
