REDWOOD FALLS -- Redwood Valley senior Naomi U'ren notched the 1,000th set assist of her career in the first game and Redwood Valley went on to defeat Springfield 25-10, 25-20, 25-16 in a non-conference volleyball opener Friday night.
U'ren collected 24 assists during the match from 77 attempts and also had a team-high three ace serves.
Kayla Anderson led Redwood Valley with seven kills, while Kelsey Guetter and Casey Smith each had six. Smith also had three ace serves and Anderson had two.
