MONTEVIDEO -- Yellow Medicine East got nine kills from Macy McKay and seven from Jamie Baker en route to defeating Montevideo 25-19, 25-21, 25-21 in a West Central South Conference volleyball match Thursday night.
The win moves the Sting to 2-0 in the loop and 3-0 overall, while Montevideo dropped to 1-1, 3-1.
McKay, Stina Leiseth and Aimee Johnson had two ace serves each for the Sting. Johnson also notched 23 set assists.
For Montevideo, Beka Schwendemann led all hitters with 12 kills. Brooke Tastad added nine kills and Rachel Schwachtgen had four ace serves.
