MONTEVIDEO -- Yellow Medicine East topped Montevideo 25-23, 26-24 in the championship of the eight-team Montevideo Voleyball Invitational this past weekend.
In pool play, YME (8-1) defeated Glencoe-Silver Lake and Paynesville and split with Lakeview.
The Sting got 22 kills from Stina Leiseth, while Macy McKay and Jamie Baker had 18 each and Livi Jeseritz 16. McKay also had 13 ace serves and 36 digs. Leiseth added seven ace blocks. Aimee Johnson amassed 53 set assists.
