WATSON - Area residents are invited to attend the National Public Lands Day volunteer opportunity to be held at Lac qui Parle Mission from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26.
Lac qui Parle Mission will be participating in National Public Lands Day by removing buckthorn, cleaning up storm damage, and brushing trails.
Volunteers are asked to wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and closed toe shoes. Dressing in layers is always a good idea. Volunteers should also bring a water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen and work gloves.
If volunteers have hand clippers, loppers, or a hand saw, it would be much appreciated if they could bring those supplies.
This event is free of charge. For more information or to register, visit: www.minnesotamasternaturalist.org/courses/register/?courseId=537 . Space is limited, so register early.
Lac qui Parle Mission is located at 115 140th Ave. N.W., Watson, MN 56295.
