Kresson Vreeman, a freshman setter from Central Minnesota Christian, helped the University of Denver finish second in its own tournament this past weekend.
Vreeman had 35 assists and three blocks in a loss to Wichita State in the championship match Sunday.
Denver beat Auburn and DePaul in the first two matches on Saturday to reach the final. In three tournament matches, Vreeman amassed 118 assists, six blocks and 13 digs.
