Participants set off on the Robbins Island circle drive for the walk around Lower Foot Lake to highlight and raise money for suicide prevention, mental health and grief recovery. The Willmar area organization has ended its affiliation with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and established its own 501C, named “Wings of Hope” so that all proceeds raised remain local. The walk registered 327 participants, according to a spokeswoman for the Willmar area. (RAND MIDDLETON | TRIBUNE)
