Walnut Grove man hurt in crash near Ridgewater College

WILLMAR -- An 18-year-old Walnut Grove man was taken by ambulance to Rice Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash just after 4 p.m. Thursday on the northwest edge of Willmar.

According to Willmar Police Capt. Jim Felt, Logan J. Hotzler was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo westbound on 15th Avenue Northwest, stopped at the stop sign and then pulled onto County Road 5 in front of a northbound vehicle.

The northbound vehicle, a 2006 Ford 500 passenger car, was driven by Joanne L. Suchy, 39, of Spicer, struck Hotzler’s vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. Also responding were the Willmar Ambulance Service, Willmar Fire Department and Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad.
