ST. CLOUD -- Courtney Boe shot a career-best 1-under 71 on Tuesday and took medalist honors with a two-day total of 151, helping two-time defending Class A state champion Minnewaska Area coast to the Section 6AA title.
Minne-waska Area's 613 score was 83 strokes better than runner-up Staples-Motley. Albany was third with a 722, 109 shots back of the Lakers.
The Class AA state meet will be held June 5-6 at Ridges of Sand Creek Golf Course in Jordan.
Emily Roering, a junior, shot 153 over the two days, while sophomores Allie Ostrander Sarah Roering had 156 and 163, respectively, for the Lakers. Chelsey Falk, the lone senior on the team. was next with 164. Briana Janu had a 179.
Boe, a sophomore, came from a six-stroke deficit to win the section title.

"We're thrilled with a two-day 613 to take the section championship," said Minnewaska Area coach Peggy Falk. "I'm really proud of the girls and how far they've come this year."
Minnewaska Area, which has won every tournament its played in this season and now has won 35 straight meet titles, captured the state title by 47 strokes a year ago over St. Cloud Cathedral.
