BROOTEN -- The North Fork Crow River Watershed District will host an agricultural presentation "The View from the Tractor Seat" at 11 a.m. Thursday at the VFW in Belgrade.
David Legvold will discuss emerging trends in nutrient management and tillage, manure management and economics, easy-to-manage Environmental Quality Incentives Program and Conservation Stewardship Program contracts, and drainage management. Legvold farms 800 acres near Northfield. He raises corn, soybeans and beef cattle. He implements many conservation practices on his farm to protect his long-term productivity.
