STARBUCK -- Wayne Edward Louis Gunderson, 62, of Starbuck died Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glenwood. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck.
He was born Dec. 2, 1944, in Geneva, Neb., to Edward and Mabel (Hanson) Gunderson. The family moved to Benson when he was young and he attended school there. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in April 1968, and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1969, and he returned to Benson.

He married Sheila Parker on Sept. 30, 1972, in Benson. They lived in various cities in Minnesota. When they lived in Madison, he worked for the Foundry Driving Truck Company.
He was a member of the Starbuck VFW.
He is survived by his wife; children: Brett Gunderson of Alexandria, Nathan Gunderson of Starbuck, Desiree Gunderson of Brainerd; and two sisters: Donna Goff and Linda Stauffacher, both of Benson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
